Faceless yet voidless, with no form that can ever stop trying to grow. Some may call this survival instinct viral, or parasitic. Yet it is the only way to keep moving on . . .

"Parents are the Problem with Youth" by Lance Polin

I used to be a teacher. I did not hate the kids. You know why teaching is a terrible job? It isn't just the administration. It is parents, delusional parents who believe their kid can do no wrong. They allow them to fail. They approve it. Deal with the consequences.

Author Notes
The author really was once upon a time a high school English teacher. Everything in the above statement is true. This does not excuse the administrations who ultimately promote the listless indifference of students, but the parents are often the teacher's worst nightmare. When I was in school my parents and the parents of my friends generally believed what the teacher said unless it was a particularly egregious assertion. Now, their 'buddies' and 'pals' and 'friends' have been deified until saying their kid did something wrong is more blasphemy than a report about trouble in school.
