Countdown to Aversion (5-4-3-2-1) writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt |
You are to write a poem that describes your or someone-you-know's aversion to something. It can be a serious topic -- I have an aversion to spiders because I am allergic to most bites OR it can be a humorous topic -- My husband has an aversion to doing dishes OR any topic in-between. :) ;) Whatever your choice, the line/syllable count should be as follows:
line 1 -- 5 syllables
line 2 -- 4 syllables
line 3 -- 3 syllables
line 4 -- 2 syllables
line 5 -- 1 syllable
Make us laugh! Make us cry! Make us sigh....just make us want to vote for your entry! :) :) |
Author Notes
According to Feeding America, 16 million kids struggle with hunger each year. How is this not a priority for our communities and government? Summer is especially difficult without the breakfasts and lunches provided to the ones who need it. The future of our country, can't learn, can't sleep, can't exercise, and go to bed crying with hunger pains.
How to help? Give to area food pantries, be aware of hungry children in your community, and be their voice when federal funding issues are topics in state and national government.
