There are so many!
"The Silent Men" by Raffaelina Lowcock
The Silent Men

Where are the heroes
We do not know?
Why are these heroes
Reluctant to show?
What they were willing to do
For so many, as well as you
The sacrifices they have made
The hell holes where they have stayed
There are so many within our world
Whose life of valour is still unfurled
We should say a silent prayer
For those valiant beings,
... whoever they are.

rhyming poem about our heroes writing prompt entry

Writing Prompt
Write a rhyming poem dedicated to our military heroes. Any length, but must rhyme.

Author Notes
The misery of memory is instilled in the hearts of so many men who have witnessed so many atrocities. They return as different men. They commiserate within their own heart and suffer the shadow of death forever. They will never find comfort in discussions of their past horrors.
