 ABOUT

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Love is not judgemental.
"Colorless love" by Blue Hendrix
Out for a night of clubbing their eyes met before they did.
Across the crowded dance floor, lustful intentions hid.
Both of them consumed by desire.
Souls obsessed and hearts on fire.

Neither one looking for love,
but it's what both were dreaming of.
They fell so hard and fast.
Everyone said it wouldn't last.

Emotions so far out of control,
So close it felt like they were sharing one soul.
Whether it was fate or sexual craving,
Their family was shocked by the way they were behaving.

Couldn't keep their hands off each other,
all were shocked especially her mother.
But in a town such as this the couple started feeling affected.
By both friends and family they were rejected.

Shunned by the entire community.
Even from their church, they had no immunity.
You might say, I don't get it, why was everyone so mad?
What could this young couple in love have done that was so bad?

Well you see he was black and she was white, though by no fault of their own.
A relationship like theirs a town like this would never condone.
So eventually the couple split up and that is what truly devastated.
For this couple was meant to be together. It was fated.

Who knows what or who might have been?
We'll never know now because a town called it sin.
Maybe they were to have a child that was going to change our futures.
The next God given president, inventor of a cancer cure, or surgeon with perfect sutures.

The moral of this story is older than dirt.
Love saves, changes people, and shouldn't hurt.
While racism can only bring us down.
Prevents God's will, keeps love from growing, and we will all surely drown.

People are people,some bad and some good;
but let the morals and values be judged as they should.
For the true character of someone doesn't come from their skin.
Their true spirit and soul comes from a place deep within.
