Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Well you can dream
"Running free" by Colin Lowley
I had this dream you see
It was very interesting as I was running free
Running free with the wind in my face
Travelling nowhere in an open space

Yet I had this chain around my leg
It pulled now and then, It would jerk my head
It rattled like a snake under my foot
On this never-ending run that my sleep undertook

From nowhere I saw figures, on a fast approaching hill
They were Jumping up and down clapping with a thrill
It was for me! As the few became even more
Shouting and screaming with a deafening roar

They appeared to get closer, but then went away
As their jeering got softer, from behind they now stay
Running free again, with the wind on my heels
I left behind my bad memories and forgotten ills

Suddenly the chain started jerking me more
It was slowing me down approaching an open door
Flashing lights shone in my awakened face
As I slumped to the ground in my resting place

I could feel many hands around my legs and waist
Raising me from there to another place
The chains still rattled with clink and a clack
As I awakened slowly from my wheelchair nap!
