Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
To my daughter on her sixteenth birthday!
"Sixteen" by Anuradha Dev
Oh girl, you are dope,
This world's only hope.
The day you were born,
I stared at you all night long.
In awe, if you were a marvel of life
Or my dream come alive.

Astute like an adult,
starry-eyed like a child,
You are the vision of their perfect tryst.
Be kind to all, every time.
Your goodness and empathy,
are your power, not deficiency.

Your wit and charm,
Make the smiles wide
And hearts warm.
When you are on the roll,
your laughter is infectious
and hard to control.

People say you have done a good job,
But inside me, I can't find
the source of the strength in you, I see.
Somedays we may disagree,
But my dear lass,
You are the best and much more of me.

You are the wings I never could grow.
Girl, don't look down
I have your back, go soar!
