"Fortune Queen" by Brett Matthew West


Her panicked scream curdled blood.

"I've come for you, Felicia."

A blade glistened in the neon light.

"Stay away from me!"

A rat scurried behind a dumpster.

"Your evil shall not prevail."

The fortune queen staggered into the afterlife. Her crystal ball misted cloudy as two boots shuffled away.
