Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
My Nonet for October 9th.
"Safe" by Sally Law

………
It is not a place of hewn-rock walls,
Or a strong fortress by the sea,
But a person--Jesus Christ.
One much higher, wiser,
Stronger, and deeper
Than my problems:
My safe place
From the
Storm.

Author Notes
For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock. Psalm 27:5

A Nonet is a 9-line poem that has 9 syllables in the first line, 8 syllables in the second line, 7 syllables in the third line, and continues to count down to one syllable in the final (ninth) line.
For me, visual aesthetics are important for a Nonet. I typically choose a centered one. I use a syllable counter. A good one is: howmanysyllables.com.
