Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
The pen is mightier than the sword
"In A Fleeting Moment" by Raffaelina Lowcock
In one fleeting moment
A treasured book, that I
Stumbled upon at the Library
Changed my life, and my attitude;
It's called Calm Yourself
The words that I read in this missal
Taught me to absorb my world
In a different way
To look at myself as unique;
No other like me
And to cherish my soul
Through treasuring friends.
It was an Epiphany of knowledge
That I had not known
It has a treasured spot in my Library
And it has been rebound in gold.

Free Verse writing prompt entry

Writing Prompt
Write a free verse poem about a prized object of any kind. No rhyming patterns.

Author Notes
The first paragraph "If you are not sick, discouraged nor unhappy; if you have plenty of money and all the friends you want; if you understand life, have faith in the future and have developed a higher consciousness-THEN this book is not for you.

Mind is the master power that molds and makes
And man is mind, and evermore he takes
The touch of thought, and, shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills.
He thinks in secret and it comes to pass;
Environment is but his looking glass.
Morning and Evening Thoughts by James Allen.
