 ABOUT
RHYMELORD

rhymelord is a well retired, long-in-the-tooth engineer who is a self confessed dinosaur in his lack of appreciation of verse that has no rhyme or scan. He would love to learn to understand the attraction blank verse obviously has for some, but, hav - more...

He is an accomplished poet and is currently at the #96 spot on this years rankings.

Idiomatic Philosophical Statement
"The End is Nigh" by rhymelord

I guess the party’s over now.
I’ll take a bow.
I’ve hit the wall.
I’ve dropped the ball.

Not long ago, I pulled my weight,
fished and cut bait.
I sowed my oats.
I burned my boats.

So, now that life has run its course,
without remorse,
on feet of clay,
I’ll make my way.
