Rictameter
"Copper Pennies" by Sugarray77
Copper
pennies fill the
pot as the brass bell sends
bright jingles through the festive air.
It's compelling the generous to share
with the poor who have so little.
Compassionate blessings ~
small coins made of
copper.

Author Notes
Each year during the holiday season, the Salvation Army offers the public a way to donate to the poor by setting up donation stands that have red pots and a volunteer ringing a bell to draw attention. Donations are used to help the poor in the local community. And, yes, I know it will take more than pennies... symbolism here. :)

Rictameter poetry is a shaped poem with nine lines that uses a syllable count of 2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2. The first and last line must match exactly.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
