A Philosophy on Life; Never Give Up
"Swimming 'Gainst The Stream" by bob cullen

Don't quit when you're rejected
Never give up on your dream
And don't ever be afraid
To go swimming 'gainst the stream
Life will sometimes go sideways
Things may not go as you scheme
But it won't stop you winning
And then achieving your dream

So dream don't set no limit
And set all your aims real high
Don't listen to the doubters
Or to those who just pass by
Give it all you've got my friend
You won't know until you try
Learn the lesson of losing
And don't be too proud to cry

Success it don't come easy
Sometimes it won't come at all
But remember there's one rule
You must get up when you fall
Some days you get just one chance
You must listen for the call
Be ready and be running
It don't matter if you're small

Your size don't count for nothing
What counts is a will to win
It's something that you're born with
More important than your skin
It overcomes most problems
And it helps when you begin
Each day with a happy face
And a cheeky smiling grin

Author Notes
I wrote this for me as a pep talk after a week of rejections on my novel.
