all hands on deck
"Fireworks" by Praveen J.

Last year, we went on a New Year's cruise with my husband's work colleagues. At the party, champagne flowed and music rocked. John got pulled to dance somewhere with the big group in the middle. I'm the invisible one in our marriage, so I stood on the deck, admiring the harbour bridge.

I was lost in my thoughts when the Captain came and introduced himself. He looked gorgeous in uniform. Just then the clock struck midnight and the party went crazy. He pulled me in his arms and kissed me. Fireworks lit the sky as I kissed him right back.
