What would the Covid-19 virus think about his success?
"Human Burnout: Covid-19's View" by HarryT
You humans call your anxiety burnout or cabin fever
Well, my dear people, I'm the cause of your distress
I love to see the flouting the medically prescribed rules
Such behavior guarantee’s me hosts I must confess

My real name’s Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2
However, for the sake of brevity today I’m just known Covid-19
Lab guys christened me Corona because of my beautiful halo
I like it, gives my sickening self an exotic sounding nickname

In 2020 I’m a great star, bigger than my older cousin, SARS
It seems I can’t be stopped as I whirl across the world stage
Ignorant humans think somehow I will magically disappear
That’s not happening because I’m a stealth-like serial killer

I love infiltrating humans, latching on to healthy cells
Making multiple hell-like copies of my sly sinister self
It’s so thrilling spreading illness and sometimes death
When I infect you, please be sure to blantantly neglect to
Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze
You’ll spew droplets that'll float through the air with ease
Introducing me quietly to new hosts whenever I please

Roaming the earth at will, no miracle will end my kills
Thanks for propelling me from one human to another
So pleased, by many, science is being totally ignored
Economy so important states and cities opening more

A bit of guidance from yours truly:
Don’t use water and soap
Don’t take medical advice
Don’t stay home
Don’t wear a mask
Don’t social distance
Don’t let them take your rights
Gather in big groups
Go to religious services
Go to bars and drink your fill
Cough me out in gyms and on beaches
Disregard all those foolish arbitrary rules

If you do as I ask, don’t worry
I’ll come to you in an airborne hurry
I’ll be around causing burnout and cabin fever
As long as you don’t mask up and
Continue to ignore social distaining rules
I’ll be your guest for a long time to come

Sincerely and thankfully,
Covid-19
