Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
The bondage we all endure when hearts are broken
"Shackles" by Edward Escobar
They are invisible shackles that choke the heart,
subjugates our days with despair
maintains a journal like diary of our wounded past

cleaving to our troubled soul with vindictive care,
that supports the mutiny towards our loss of humility
from ever mending

as fatal like shattered glass that
greedily suffocates our sacred dreams
with bondage and sheer pain

hides within the very roots of our list of failures
the culprit of our own ongoing shame

so long you give reign to these invisible shackles
the care it unrightfully deserves becomes like the
opportunist that secretly plays willful mind games
on your fallen behalf.

Author Notes
The struggles from our not failures but rather lack of understanding
