A poem of love and hope
"The kiss of life (2)" by DR DIP
THE KISS OF LIFE (2)

I was drowning in a sea of despair
Coming up for one last breath
If I went now, I didn't care
If this is life, I'm facing death

But then you came along with love
I could see you from below
Plunging in your hand above
As my breathing began to slow

You plucked me from this angry ocean
That my life had been
You gave me hope and a new devotion
My life felt so serene

The kiss of life is what you gave
This analogy's pretty right
From depression you did save
You gave me the will to fight

You talked of hope and self esteem
You talked of loved ones and friends
Though I thought it just a dream
This wasn't how life ends

I look back now on that day
And try to put it all behind
No more words I need to say
Just memories there to remind

Me, of just how lucky I be
To have you all right here
No drowning in an angry sea
My vision is now quite clear

With this CPR analogy
I think you can all relate
You were my lifebuoy there for me
You made me appreciate

The will to love, the thrill to give
Give back to many others
I have a new zest in life to live
I hope everyone else discovers

Author Notes
I woke up this morning at dawn and penned this verse in about 5 mins. For some reason I felt an urge to post my thoughts on fanstory and its the first time in months I have felt that urge.
My visit here is only fleeting as I have other things in my life at the moment for time consuming.
Don't even feel obliged to comment as I am not reviewing or attempting to promote.
Keep the the flame burning here all. You are all wonderful poets and writers
