I have been writing for sometime, but until now I did a lot of it in seclusion. Glad for the information that led me here. I love this literary outlet to express the deep things of the heart....and the not so deep!

A tribute for Gary...
"You wore your courage..." by royowen
We watched your boundless faith and hope.
they gave you strength and trust to cope.
You wore your courage like a crown,
we never saw you wear a frown.
Your gracious ways, your smiling face,
revealed God's love through Christ, in grace.

I now return from whence I came,
where God once wove my wondrous frame.
He knit my body in His loom,
and in His kingdom made me room.

There is no darkness where I walk
for with my Lord I stroll and talk.
So many friends and family here,
the light of God is ever near.

My home's beside a verdant verge,
where glassy sea and land converge.
The cloudless skies are royal blue
it's where the Lord will wait for you.

Such joy and beauty greet one here,
no tears are shed, the end of fear.
Saints and angels surround God's throne,
in Heaven's fabric men are sewn.

Author Notes
This is a tribute to a dear friend, who passed away last week. A fellow believer, who fought the good fight, he was ill for a long time, but I never heard a complaining word from his lips, which were always smiling, and apart from being hospitalised a few times, would never miss a meeting. He was a true hero of the cross, and will be sorely missed. It is with both joy and sadness that I pay tribute to this brave and faithful saint. Condolences and love to is family.

Psalm 116 :15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."

Thanks for reading. Roy Owen.
